Profile History
ROME was founded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in October 2007, by three professionals with prior experience as senior executives of major international offshore oil & gas construction corporations.
The steep oil price hike in 2007 and 2008 spurred a rapid expansion of offshore oil & gas activities. Recognizing a huge demand for offshore and marine engineering services in Asia, they identified an unmet need in the market and decided to synergize their considerable expertise to establish a one-stop marine engineering service provider. Each founding member has more than two decades of experience in the engineering and construction of offshore facilities and pipelines. The mission of their company was to establish an engineering team with the capability to provide a full range of real and practical solutions to the offshore oil & gas industry. Their prior experience had convinced them that this was lacking in most engineering consultancy companies and that the industry would respond favorably. This belief has been borne out with the growth and success of the company.
